The Department of Physics at IUPUI (http://www.physics.iupui.edu/) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in biophysics, to begin August 1, 2017. We are interested in candidates whose experimental or theoretical research interests will enhance our existing efforts in biophysics. The Department is especially interested in recruiting a candidate from groups that are under-represented in Physics. Opportunities for collaboration exist with faculty in the 17 schools at IUPUI, including the School of Science, the School of Engineering & Technology, and the Indiana University School of Medicine. Researchers with a record of interdisciplinary research are encouraged to apply. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in physics or a related discipline, demonstrate the ability to initiate and sustain an externally funded program of research, and be able to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
